These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GetStepIn mobile application and website platform (collectively, the "Service"), operated by GetStepIn ("we," "us," or "our") from California, United States.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
GetStepIn is a marketplace platform that connects dance activity organizers with attendees. We provide tools for organizers to create and manage activities and ticket sales, and for attendees to discover and purchase tickets to those activities.
GetStepIn is not the organizer of any activity listed on the platform. Activities are created and managed by independent third-party organizers. GetStepIn is not responsible for the content, quality, safety, or cancellation of any activity.
When you purchase a ticket through GetStepIn, you are purchasing directly from the activity organizer. GetStepIn facilitates the transaction but is not a party to the purchase agreement between you and the organizer.
All payments made through the GetStepIn platform are processed by Stripe. By completing a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. GetStepIn does not store your full payment card details.
Refund policies are set at the organizer's discretion. GetStepIn provides organizers with tools to issue full refunds, but does not guarantee refunds on behalf of organizers. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, contact the activity organizer directly or reach out to us at legal@getstepin.com and we will assist in facilitating communication.
Where refunds are issued through the platform, they are processed as full refunds only. Refunds typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days depending on your card issuer.
If an organizer cancels an activity, they may issue automatic refunds to all ticket holders or handle refunds manually. GetStepIn is not liable for an organizer's failure to issue refunds following a cancellation. If you purchased a ticket to a cancelled activity and have not received a refund within 10 business days, contact us at legal@getstepin.com.
Tickets may not be resold or transferred without the express written permission of the activity organizer. Fraudulent ticket use may result in account termination.
This section applies to users who create and manage activities on the platform ("Organizers").
Organizers are responsible for verifying the eligibility of attendees at their in-person activities, including any age restrictions applicable to their specific activity. GetStepIn provides the platform for ticket sales and attendee management but is not present at activities and cannot verify attendee identities or ages on behalf of organizers. By listing an activity on the platform, organizers accept full responsibility for ensuring that attendees meet any applicable eligibility requirements at the point of entry.
Organizer payouts for platform transactions are processed through our payment processing provider. GetStepIn currently does not charge organizers for use of the platform. We reserve the right to introduce fees or paid features in the future with at least 30 days' advance notice to affected organizers.
Organizers may accept payments through external methods (including but not limited to cash, Venmo, Zelle, and PayPal) in addition to the GetStepIn platform. However, if an organizer is selling tickets to an activity listed on GetStepIn, those tickets must also be made available for purchase through the GetStepIn platform. Organizers may not use the platform solely to direct attendees to external payment methods for ticketed activities.
GetStepIn is not responsible for transactions that occur outside the platform. Attendees who pay through external methods have no recourse through GetStepIn for refunds or disputes.
Organizers are expected to handle refunds in good faith. GetStepIn may, at its sole discretion, issue refunds on behalf of organizers in cases of clear organizer fault or non-performance and seek reimbursement from the organizer.
By posting activity content (descriptions, images, etc.) on the platform, you grant GetStepIn a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and promote that content in connection with the Service.
The platform may only be used to list and manage legitimate in-person activities. Organizers may not use the platform for fraudulent activities, unauthorized solicitation, or any purpose that violates applicable law.

GETSTEPIN MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS ABOUT THE QUALITY, SAFETY, OR LEGALITY OF ACTIVITIES LISTED ON THE PLATFORM. ATTENDANCE AT ANY ACTIVITY IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GETSTEPIN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO GETSTEPIN IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
